The Moon, Jupiter and Venus in the same area!

This won't happen again until November 18, 2052.

I really hope you didn't miss it!

(I did several shots and I'll be replacing this with a better one soon.)

I saw those in the night sky and didn't know what they were. Thanks for the info.

Fabulous shot !

I could only get a few shots of them as it was cloudy but as with Halley's comet in 1986 I can say I saw it :)

Thank you!

I saw Haley's Comet too! I didn't have a camera at the time, just a case of beer, a friend and the bed of my pickup truck LOL!

I sawit aged 15, stood on the outhouse roof, with a pair of binoculars. I had this predicter thing that was laminated pages with maps of the stars in color, with the path against it, so I saw it several times. I will do well to see it again though - I think I would be 90! But as I say it is another thing I can say "I have seen it" to (even if I have seen better and brighter ones since!!)

Cool! I got both of the local TV stations to show it on air but it was the finalized version I don't have on DA.

Nice shot! I like the contrast with the houses. I hope it's still out tomorrow, I work tomorrow night and should get a good shot from there...as long as it's nice out!

I think this was the only chance anyone had to have all three in the same place. You can see the Moon and Venus together agian sometime soon.

I got a shot back on Thanksgiving of Jupiter and Venus together. I sent that one to the TV news stations, one station used it on the air with this event coming up.

Some people could have gotten the whole shot early in the evening when it looked like a smiley face!

PS: I'm still playing with the better larger version of this event. I want it perfect.
